Whimsical Wine Cork Picture Frames and Votive Candle Holders

I was doing some mad corking this weekend - I think I started to get a sore thumb from the glue gun. I made some fun wine cork picture frames and votive candle holders. Always trying to pay homage to our city's unofficial symbol, the fleur de lis, when possible, I wrapped the candle holder with a gold and green fluer de lis ribbon and covered the base in brown felt to prevent damaging any precious surfaces. These were fun to make so I see some more in my future!

Black and Gold Reindeer!

I posted the pictures of the black and gold fleur de lis reindeer ornaments. I decided to use the black and gold fleur de lis jacquard ribbon as the hanging ribbon rather than just around the body because it's more visible this way. I also think they would look great with a gold pom pom nose, so I'm going to look for those this weekend. The holiday themed ones might like a red pom pom nose, so I'm going to look into that as well. My next project.....purple and gold themed reindeer!

Weekend of reindeer

So I ordered some wonderful ribbon that arrived on Friday and put it to good use immediately! I created a number of wine cork ornaments with different popular themes - black and gold with fleur de lis, purple and gold....you get the picture. I'm a little early, but I can't help it when something excites me! I'll post pictures soon - they came out great!
